Bulk Discount Pro – Privacy Policy

Bulk Discount Pro ("the App") is a Shopify app provided by Shift Innovation S.r.l.s., Via XXV Aprile 31, 70017 Putignano (BA), Italy, VAT number IT08800200720 ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects when a merchant installs it, how we use it and how long we keep it.

Information we collect

When you install the App, Shopify gives us access to certain data from your store. We only access what the App needs to work:

• Store information: your shop's myshopify domain and an access token issued by Shopify, used to connect the App to your store.
• Product data: products, variants, collections, tags, vendors, product types and the related amounts, plus currency metafields if you choose to include them. We read this data to find the products that match your promotion filters and to apply or restore the discount.
• Promotion data: the settings of each campaign you create (filters, discount percentage, start and end dates, status) and, for each discounted variant or metafield, the original and discounted values. We store the original values so they can be restored automatically when the promotion ends or is cancelled.
• Technical logs: operational logs (for example, errors during a promotion) linked to your shop domain, used only to troubleshoot problems.

The App requests only the write_products permission. It does not access, collect or store any personal data of your customers, such as names, email addresses, addresses or orders. The App uses a single functional cookie to remember the interface language you choose; it does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. Subscription charges are handled by Shopify's billing system, and we do not receive your payment details.

How we use the information

We use the information only to:

• provide the App's features: create, schedule, apply, restore and analyse discount campaigns;
• provide support when you contact us;
• keep the App secure and fix errors.

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Where the data is stored

The App's data is stored on servers located in the European Union (Germany), operated by our hosting provider Aruba S.p.A., which acts as a data processor. Shopify's own data processing is governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.

Data retention and deletion

• When you uninstall the App, the access token for your store is deleted.
• 48 hours after uninstallation, Shopify sends us a deletion request (shop/redact), and we delete all remaining data related to your store, including campaigns, saved original values and logs.
• We respond to Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Since the App does not store customer personal data, there is no customer data to return or delete.

Important: uninstalling the App while a promotion is active does not restore the original amounts, because the App loses access to your store. End or cancel your promotions before uninstalling.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Security

We use HTTPS for all communications, restrict access to the servers and keep the access tokens in a protected database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add features or for legal reasons. The date at the top of the page shows the latest update.
